Sticking to a ketogenic eating plan can be a real challenge. No matter how much you enjoy the keto diet, there always comes a day when temptation strikes. Maybe the kids stayed too late after school, or you had to work a double shift. But suddenly, you’re hungry, and grabbing a fast-food sandwich would be so easy – unless you are prepared.

Making keto freezer meals is easy.

Simply cook your food as you usually do, allow it to cool, and then store in a freezer-safe container like these.

One great way to make low-carb frozen meals at home is to simply cook double batches of your meals and freeze half of the food you make.

However, keep in mind that not all foods are freezer friendly. So, I tend to stick to roasts, Italian-style low carb dishes, and things like keto casseroles and bakes. For me, the sauce, fats, and cooking liquids allow you to reheat the food without it drying out.

Can you buy low carb frozen meals?

Yes, but not all low carb frozen meals are keto-friendly

This post includes recipes that you can make ahead. But, if you’re looking for keto frozen meals to buy at the store, then you should know that there are limited options.

Most of the frozen meal options are low carb. These meals that they usually have about 20g net carbs per meal.Since most people following keto have 20g net carbs per day, this makes buying keto freezer meals a bit challenging.

Besides, the carb count, if you look at the labels, you’ll also notice that many low carb frozen meals are packed with long lists of ingredients. So, if you’re “strict keto”, you might want to avoid these.
