NVIDIA DLSS 3.5: Max FPS, Max Quality. Powered by AI

NVIDIA has pioneered the AI hardware and software that is powering incredible breakthroughs across every industry. NVIDIA DLSS, one of our first major AI algorithms, was introduced five years ago and boosts performance using neural rendering, made possible by the Tensor Cores inside each GeForce RTX GPU.

Since its initial release, the AI models behind DLSS have kept learning, leading to even better results and new innovations that further multiply performance. Our most recent advancement, DLSS 3.5, features Ray Reconstruction, a new AI model that creates higher quality ray-traced images for intensive ray-traced games and apps.

This enhanced AI-powered neural renderer improves ray-traced image quality for all GeForce RTX GPUs by replacing hand-tuned denoisers with an NVIDIA supercomputer-trained AI network that generates higher-quality pixels in between sampled rays.

Trained with 5X more data than DLSS 3, using offline-rendered images that require far more computational power than can be delivered during a real-time game, DLSS 3.5 recognizes different ray-traced effects to make smarter decisions about using temporal and spatial data, and to retain high frequency information for superior-quality upscaling. The results are superior to using hand-tuned denoisers, delivering higher fidelity ray-traced effects.

Working in tandem with DLSS Super Resolution and DLSS Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction maximizes image quality and performance across all GeForce RTX GPUs, delivering the absolute best experience in ray-traced games.

DLSS 3.5 With Ray Reconstruction Coming to Star WarsTM Outlaws, Further Improving Image Quality On GeForce RTX GPUs

Star Wars™ Outlaws is launching August 30th, and you can pre-order now on the Ubisoft Store. The highly anticipated upcoming game invites players to experience theStar Wars™ galaxy like never before, through an original story set between Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back™ and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi™.

As the Galactic Empire relentlessly pursues the final defeat of the Rebel Alliance, the criminal underworld thrives. Fans will play as cunning scoundrel Kay Vess and her loyal companion Nix, as they attempt one of the greatest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen. Seeking the means to start a new life, players will join Kay and Nix as they fight, steal, and outwit their way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates and join the galaxy’s most wanted.

Previously, we announced that the PC version of Star Wars™ Outlaws will include support for NVIDIA DLSS 3, NVIDIA Reflex, ray-traced reflections, ray-traced shadows, NVIDIA RTX Direct Illumination (RTXDI), and ray-traced global illumination. Today, we’re excited to announce that Star Wars™ Outlaws on PC has now upgraded to NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 with Ray Reconstruction, further enhancing the fidelity of ray-traced effects.
