Our 7 Family Favorite Crock Pot Recipes & Labels - A Cotton Kandi Life (1)Dear Crock Pot,

You’re probably the most useful thing in my life after children…. I should have bonded with you inmy 20’s and made better use of our relationship. For that I’m sincerely sorry. You rock my world… and my husband’s… which make us a better family because I look more impressive… I love you.

Yes… I must confess the Crock Pot and I have become friends. It makes our household not starve at the end of the day! I highly recommend that no matter your life situation you cozy up to this counter-top sensation. It is useful to many moms and current life situations…

Did you just have a baby and need to save a little time?Are you in full-on nesting phase and looking for a great “next step” while preparing for baby’s arrival, now that you’ve packed up your hospital bag?

Are you a parent to awesome toddlers and looking for some super easy, time efficient, delicious crock pot dinners?

Are you planning a baby shower for that expecting mommy in your life and want to give her {whole family} an amazing gift such as a week’s worth of dinners?

This post is for you…

I have collected my top 7, Go-To Crock Pot concoctions. I start my Crock Pot at 1:00pm every day and set it for “Low 5 Hours” My husband is home between 6pm-6:30pm so dinner is ready when he walks in the door… no matter where I am running around the house! Some days he walks in and I’m buried under stuffed animals “Oh it’s 6:00 already?!” Good thing dinner is ready!

{Get to the goods Kandice… we don’t care about Cash’s favorite game, where heburiesyou in adorable animals}

These recipes also ALL make fantastic make-ahead, freezer meals or what the internet has affectionately labeled as “Dump Dinners” All you do is load up all the ingredients into a gallon sized freezer bag and then store it in your deep freeze until it is needed. Pull it out and put it in your refrigerator the night before so it has plenty of time to thaw before 1:00pm the next day.

A collection of made, frozen dump dinners makes an excellent gift to an expecting family too! Parents can save some time while caring for their newborn and Dad’s can easily prepare dinner with this system. It is also much more affordable than ordering in every night!

An important piece though for gifting, or even for storage and instruction is the label you use which lists all of the ingredients.

It also helps you remember what the heck you made for dinner in this frozen bag!

I have made a label for each of my recipes that you can download and print. You will get all 7 recipes above on a label with 2 per page for only $1.00. That gives you 14 labels you can print at home!

I use packaging tape to secure my labels on the bags after the ingredients are in but BEFORE they are frozen. If you wait until after the freezer you’re going to get some moisture built up and the tape won’t stick as well.

You can obviously make your own labels or just write on the bag with a Sharpie. Also do that writing before the bag is frozen, while it is still dry.
