I love your food! And that it is all fix approved with container counts and what to use for the portion! Do you think you will add anymore recipes for the fix?

Does anyone know the answer to this: I like to make big batches of recipes so I have enough to last a few days. If I measure out my containers before I cook, how do I know how much to measure out after it's all cooked and mixed together? A lot of food items shrink as well.
Another question: On page 50 of the fix eating plan, it shows the turkey chili which is 1 red container, 1/2 a green and 1/2 a yellow container. So, when I measured it out each day for lunch (after it was all mixed together) I measured out 1 red container, 1/2 a green and 1/2 a yellow. It seemed like a lot of food so I'm not sure.

When dealing with "mixed" dishes like soups, pastas, stir-fry, etc., you use a GREEN container to measure/scoop our your portion of the combined dish. BUT, the portions you check off will be whatever is in the combo dish (It explains this at the end of the book- page 70-something). For example, for your turkey chili you mentioned, a green container is one serving (about 1 cup), but the portions you check off are 1 red, 1/2 green, 1/2 yellow to account for the ingredients in the chili. Does that make sense? If you look through some of my recipes here, like the baked ziti, you will see some more examples of how this works. Best of luck to you!

Melissa! Such wonderful recipes...I can't wait to try them. I'm also wondering if you have (or know of someone else who might) any "snack" recipes that are both sugar and wheat (not just gluten) free? Thanks so much!
